Welcome to the

Kinloch Castle Friends Association

SC 03 02 01

Join the campaign to save this masterpiece

set unexpectedly on the Scottish Isle of Rum

  • Help us to work towards the restoration of this amazing building
  • KCFA Have formally applied to SNH for asset transfer of Kinloch Castle to a Community Interest Company and this has been accepted subject to further requiremnets. The plan is through a phased process, to re-establish the basic hostel accommodation, the bar and bistro and work towards restoring the other better letting rooms, and the 'museum' rooms. This is an opportunity to make a difference not just to the castle but to the Rum Community.
  • Updates about the progress are being issued regularly. Catch up on any you have missed through the asset transfer page Or let us know and we will add you to our list of contacts
  • Rare Orchestrion: help us with the appeal to restore this endangered instrument: this will now be focus of a separate appeal but will be saved and restored to the castle.
    • Anyone with useful skills, please contact the Honorary Secretary. We are looking for people to help with publicity, crowdfunding, fundraising, etc etc.
    • Work parties will in future be working towards the restoration of the castle. Join us in the exciting phase in the life of the castle.
